Monsters, Inc. came out in 2001 and it is a computer animated comedy film. It is considered the best animated feature the year and one of the greatest of all time. The tagline is 'We Scare Because We Care.'

The voice cast includes great Hollywood actors and actresses, namely John Goodman as James P. "Sulley" Sullivan, Billy Crystal as Michael "Mike" Wazowski, Mary Gibbs as Boo, and Steve Buscemi as Randall Boggs. The others are James Coburn as Henry J. Waternoose III, Jennifer Tilly as Celia, Bob Peterson as Roz, John Ratzenberger as Abominable Snowman, and Frank Oz as Fungus. Bonnie Hunt stars as Ms. Flint and Jeff Pidgeon as Mr. Bile.

This was preceded by Toy Story 2 and is a Pixar Animation Studios feature films. It is directed by Peter Docter, Lee Unkrich, and David Silverman. The producers are Darla Anderson and John Lasseter. The story has been written by Jill Culton, Peter Docter, Ralph Eggleston, and Jeff Pidgeon.

The screenplay are by Andrew Stanton and Daniel Gerson. The additional screenplay were by Robert L. Baird, Rhett Reese, and Jonathan Roberts. Music by Randy Newman. This has been distributed by11 Buena Vista Pictures Distribution.

This is the fourth full, feature film of Pixar Animations Studio. It was released to different theaters in United States by Walt Disney Pictures on November 02, 2001 while in Australia on December 26, 2001. In the United Kingdom last February 8, 2002. Disney's Monsters, Inc Movie premiered in the United States on October 28, 2001, and was considered as a commercial and critical success.

Disney's Animated Monsters, Inc has been nominated for numerous awards and had won some of those. It won the ASCAP Award for Top Box Office Films and the Oscar for the Best Music, Original Song by Randy Newman entitle "If I Didn't Have You". Also it was nominated for the Oscar under the category of Best Animated Feature, Best Music, Original Score, and Best Sound Editing.

Moreover, accolades didn't stop there. Disney's Animated Monsters, Inc had been recipient of many nominations for Saturn Award last 2003 for the Best DVD Special Edition Release, Best Writing. It was also nominated for the Eddie Award under the category of Best Edited Feature Film - Comedy or Musical by Jim Stewart.
