Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a 1937 animated film based on the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale. It was the first full length animated feature produced by Walt Disney and has the recognition as the first American animated feature film in movie history. It truly spanned many decades, fascinating and touching the lives of several generations.

Disney's Animated Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs have been directed by David Hand. The producer was Walt Disney. The original writer of the fairy tale was the Brothers Grimm while the adaptation was a collaboration of a team of writers namely Ted Sears, Richard Creedon, Otto Englander, Dick Rickard, Earl Hurd, Merrill De Maris, Dorothy Ann Blank, and Webb Smith.

The voice casts include Adriana Caselotti, Lucille La Verne, Pinto Colvig, and Roy Atwell. Music was by Frank Churchill, Paul Smith, and Leigh Harline. The cinematography work was done by Max Morgan.

This has been distributed by RKO Radio Pictures and premiere was last December 21, 1937. The release date was last February 4, 1938 in the US. The running time is 83 minutes and the language used is English. The budget for this was $1,488,000.00 and had gross revenue of $66,596,803.

This has been made primarily to raise funds for the Disney Studio during the World War II period. It was such a big success that Disney went to produce more full-length animated feature films. It has been re-released several times in theaters in 1952, 1958, 1967, 1975, 1983, 1987, and 1993.

Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Movie are considered as the first full-length animated film done in Technicolor. This has won an Academy Award for Walt Disney. He was recognized for his great screen innovation. He received a golden Oscar statuette.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were also nominated for Best Musical Score. "Some Day My Prince Will Come". The soundtrack includes the famous "I'm Wishing/One Song" - Snow White, The Prince. The American Film Institute recognizes Disney's Snow White in 1998 in its AFI's 100 Years...100 Movies with the rank of 49. It ranked no. 10 for the 2003 AFI's 100 Years... 100 Heroes and Villains, and it ranked no. 19 for the "Someday My Prince Will Come". Also it was given the rank 34 for the 2007 AFI's 100 Years... 100 Movies (10th Anniversary Edition), and the 2008 AFI's 10 Top 10 #1 animated film.
