Toy Story the Disney animated film is about a cowboy toy who feels threatened and jealous when a fancy television Spaceman toy becomes the top toy in the boy's toy box and room. It has excellent animation that draws the viewer in, and the script portrays real acting children. Emotions and behaviors of bullying and sibling rivalry are portrayed by the animated children.
Disney released Toy Story in 1995. Reviews were positive. They praise both the animation and the witty, sophisticated screenplay.
Disney has profited from the animated Toy Story in the sale of franchised materials, costumes, toys, books and other clothes. The quote from Buzz Lightyear 'To Infinity and Beyond' has a life of its own as a slogan on t shirts and other merchandise. It generated a sequel Toy Story 2 another Disney animated film.
Toy Story will be re released in 2012 in stereoscopic 3D. 2010 will see another Disney animated film, Toy Story 3. The animators at Disney have a long future with the Toy Story characters.
